the location felt superb and the gardens had so much beauty. i found the room excellent with a comfortable bed, a true sanctuary. breakfast had fresh fruit and lovely croissants, a sweet beginning.
our room needed a deeper clean. i spotted dust webs and noticed the carpets were not thoroughly vacuumed. i hoped for a more pristine environment.

The hotel's proximity to the Yorkshire Coast and Moors was very convenient. I appreciated the extensive grounds. They allowed leisurely walks. I was very happy with my beautiful room. It had a wonderful garden view. All the staff were friendly and efficient, making the stay EXCELLENT!!!

afternoon tea was very nice. The room was super clean and comfortable. It had tea, coffee, chocolate and shortbread provided, AS WELL as an exquisite view of the manicured lawns and mature surrounding woodlands. I felt safe and very welcome by the team throughout my stay.
the mandatory service charge WAS disappointing. I was charged this "staff service charge" for everything and at the end of the bill A service charge for what I had no idea?!

The staff was always on hand and very attentive. I found it happy that they could accommodate us.
The Hydrangea room was not great, actually. The extraction fans woke me up at 6am every morning. They did not turn off until 9.30pm. Some windows did not open! The bathroom really needed a working window.
